Workshop Series: Junkyard Funkyard

Junkyard Funkyard presents a selection of works created during the Bricolage Lab design camp in Belgrade—specifically, Srbotehnika by Karkatag Kolektiv and Make Questions, Not Objects by Skart. Exploring “industrial design” in a society without industry, the project dives into a world of fragments, assemblages, and disorder. It examines the mangled parts of a dysfunctional system, transformed by people aiming to mend what is broken. Through a series of workshops, participants worked with whatever was on hand, scavenging objects from a scrapyard that served as a repository of material memory. To conclude the camp, Blood Becomes Water collaborated with the participants to create Junkyard Funkyard: a visual archive of the outcomes developed over one week at the Kulturforum Gallery.
